Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Guibrief collects, why, who it's shared with, and your choices. Guibrief is run by Nasar Issa (“we”, “us”), an individual in California, USA. We collect as little as we can: there are no user accounts and no advertising, and we don't set cookies.
1. What we collect
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes technical information needed to serve and protect the site: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the time of the request.
Visit counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, including views of the checkout page you pass through when you click Buy. It records the page (without anything after the “?” in the address), the referring site, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't identify you: Vercel tells repeat visits apart with a value derived from your request that resets every day. We only see totals.
When you buy. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details, which we never see or store, and shares with us what we need to complete the sale: your name, email address, billing country and postal code, the amount paid, and the date.
When you email us. If you contact us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and anything you choose to include.
If you ask for repository access. As a fallback way to get the pack, we can invite you to a private GitHub repository. To do that we use the GitHub username or email address you give us, and GitHub processes it to send and manage the invite.
On your device only. If you use the site's “Pause motion” control, your choice is saved in your browser's session storage for that visit. The contact form on the /demo page is a demonstration: it saves an unsent draft in your browser's local storage and doesn't send your message anywhere. Neither ever leaves your device, and you can clear both through your browser settings.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the pack you bought and any updates, and to answer your questions.
- To process payments and keep records required for tax and accounting.
- To run, secure, and fix the site, including preventing fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Sale.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't use it for automated decisions that affect you.
4. How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally seven years. Support emails are kept while they're useful for helping you and deleted on request unless we need them for a legal reason. Repository access stays in place while your license is active; you can ask us to remove it at any time. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for its standard, limited period, and visit counts are kept by Vercel for one month.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing asknasarissa@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep some records where the law requires it (for example, purchase records for tax purposes).
EU, UK, and similar laws. If these apply to you, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you (delivering your purchase), legal obligations (tax records), and our legitimate interests (securing the site and answering your messages).
California. We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we'll never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
6. Do Not Track
We don't track you across websites. Our visit counts are cookieless and stay on this site, so we treat every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
7. Children
Guibrief is for professionals and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK). If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
8. Security and international transfers
The site is served over HTTPS, and we rely on established providers rather than handling payment data ourselves. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards for international transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy before we start collecting anything new (for example, if we add an email provider). The “effective” date above shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you by email if we have your address.
